After suffering with depression, self-harm and eating disorders for 10 years, I wanted to make a difference to the stigma attached to mental health and to enable health professionals and teachers to recognise signs of mental health issues (particularly in young people). I am a trained counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I enjoy public speaking, lecturing and training as well as supporting individuals and families.
This is a project Jess has been working on with Bournemouth University to provide a perspective on eating disorders and how it can affect the family. It has featured on BBC South Today and BBC Solent.
